Accreditations & Recognitions
20/30 Labs is accredited by UKAS in accordance with ISO/IEC 17025:2017 (laboratory no. 4236). This accreditation confirms the technical competence of our staff, the reliability of our testing methods, the correct handling of samples and the quality of our test results. Furthermore, since 2012, 20/30 Labs has been one of the few laboratories in the United Kingdom and Europe to hold ISO 13485 accreditation for microbiological testing and consultancy services for the medical devices industry. This enables us, amongst other things, to carry out validations of the effectiveness of medical device decontamination and to assess drying cabinets and storage systems for endoscopes.

Wastewater Testing
According to the World Health Organisation (WHO), over 1500 new pathogens have been found since the 1970s, and almost 40 new infectious diseases have been diagnosed. Many diseases have had a significant impact on populations, with numerous major outbreaks happening in the last 20 years, including SARS (2002–2003), Ebola (2014–2016), Swine flu (2009–2010), Zika virus (2015–2016), and more recently COVID-19 (2019–2021). Drug-resistant microorganisms have also been connected to the re-emergence of infectious illnesses.
