For more than 50 years, we have been at the forefront of developing and refining measurement methods that have set the standard in the cosmetics industry. Research at the Schrader Institute has often been the starting point for the development of new methods. Our approach is: first conduct research, then develop and test, and finally analyze.
The Sebumeter and ICL-S/H are separated not only by 50 years of continuous and thorough work, but also by 50 years of ideas and concepts for new physiological measurement principles for skin and hair that have since evolved into mature methods used worldwide today. Innovations such as our Corneometer and Sebumeter are now used internationally and provide reliable, scientifically validated efficacy tests for cosmetic products.
The Schrader Institute not only utilizes the latest technologies but is also a constant source of new, practical methods and instruments for skin and hair physiological testing on volunteers and in the laboratory.

Certification
Guaranteed Certified - The Highest Level Of Quality. Since 2007, Normec Schrader Institute have regularly undergone certification procedures. With success: in the past, DIN requirements were not only met but actually for the most part exceeded. In the future as well we will take part in certification measures – in order to meet our customer’s requirements and guarantee the highest level of quality.
Accreditation
We go for quality. For guaranteed results. In order to give our customers even more confidence in our quality of our analytical services, many of our methods used by our analytical laboratory (former Institut Dr. Schrader Ancopharm) have been accredited since 2016 by the German Accreditation Body (DAkkS). The accreditation is only valid for the scope of accreditated procedures listed in the document annexure, register no. D-PL22588-01-00.
