TOWARDS AN INCREASINGLY HARMONIZED REGULATORY FRAMEWORK
These periodic meetings between Notified Bodies represent a crucial moment for discussion, alignment, and updates. During the technical sessions, participants addressed numerous regulatory topics of common interest, with the aim of promoting a uniform application of the directives across the various Member States.
In particular, the Palermo meeting gave extensive coverage to the new Machinery Regulation, destined to replace the current directive: a transition that will mark a significant evolution of the European regulatory framework. The introduction of the new Regulation will bring with it elements of greater harmonization and immediate application, reinforcing the consistency of interpretations and coordination among the stakeholders involved.
